I'm not sure what it says about me that I bought a 12" Star Trek action figure (Pike, natch) and The Lost Lunar Baedecker: Poems of Mina Loy within minutes of each other.

I mean, besides that I'm awesome.

If you, like me, are continuously frustrated that the standard size of DVD video is 720px or thereabouts yet my laptop resolution is 1280x800, and that resizing the picture engorges those hideous jpg artifacts, and not even the fanciest options of photoshop can really get rid of them, it may be useful to know that this can be avoided by, er, not ( Read more... )
